Mile to Empty

On the Tank Minder Gauge if you select Show Distance you get a "Miles To Empty" reading that is based on Rolling MPG. Why not use Economy MPG in calculating miles to empty? Using Rolling MPG gives a false sense of when you need fuel.

You have that choice.

If you right-click on the Tank Minder and "un-click" on "Calculate Using Rolling MPG", the Tank Minder will use the MPG achieved on that tankful.

Neither is perfect. Rolling MPG will fluctuate considerably as you drive. Tank MPG will fluctuate very little once you have put some good miles in. But if you fill up, then drive over 500 miles of flatlands, and finally hit the mountains, the Tank MPG will lead you to believe you have a lot more range than you really have. So take your pick - or make TWO tank minders.
