VMS 200 EL display

Re: 2002 Country Coach Magna with VMS 200 EL installed.

Display remains active after engine ignition switch is turned off. This began after House Battery switch was turned off during maintenance.

Can't find reference to this in the Owner's Manual.

Thanks for your help.

It's in the coach wiring.

It's not in our manual because the problem isn't in the VMS. The VMS has a single 12V input, and as long as it has power it comes on. Of course, normally it's on a key-switched circuit, so it comes on when you turn the key.

Some Country Coach models have a second switch on the dash that provides an alternative way to power the VMS. As I recall, that switch is not always labeled clearly. Check your dash to see if yours may be one of those models.

If that isn't the answer, your most productive source of answers will be the Country Coach phone technicians. They should be able to look up the wiring diagrams for that coach and step you through finding an answer.

Re:VMS 200 EL display

On the 2002 Magna/Affinity, the VMS switch should be to the Right of the TV, above the Windshield.. It should be labled "VMS Display".

VMS200EL on a 3126 CAT engine

I recently bought a used Safari (2000 Zanzibar) coach with a VMS200EL installed, and I'd like to know if it's capable of displaying the transmission serial number. I'm trying to obtain some transmission service records, and Allison needs the serial number to send me the records. Thanks for any input on this. Stan

Re:VMS200EL on a 3126 CAT engine

No we do not display the Transmission Serial Number.

Either it is not avalible or it has not been needed to this point.
