50cycle and Silverleaf

What do you do when you want to plug your coach into shore power--but, say, you've landed your American-made coach in the UK?

How does this 50cycle and 230VAC pan out on North American-style 220VAC 60cycle?

The coach in question has this symptom: When plugged into shore power, the the transfer switch won't "pull in" (latch) and the error "Bad Frequency" is displayed on the Total Coach panel.

I've emailed this question out specifically to folks who have indicated they're in the UK. Yes--All Six Of Them! ;-)

You folks and anyone else with specific knowledge are welcome to join us to reveal your clever solutions. And, if things were sometimes by trial and, er...retrial--share those too!

VMS120LC to Cummins 5.9 Dodge Ram

Will my VMS 120 LC work in a 2003 Dodge Ram PU with a Cummins 5.9 I would like to move it to the Dodge to take advantage of the Pressure Pro.

Moving VMS from Cat engine to Cummins

I am moving our Silverleaf unit serial #B12U1029, software 20RV02 3/17/00 from our older Safari motorhome to our newer 1999 Itasca with a 5.9 Cummins with a 6 speed Allison. The Safari had a CAT engine. There are wires marked for "power", "headlights" and "ground". There also is a white wire and a black wire that I assume goes somewhere into the engive electronics. Would really appreciate some help in determining where these two wires go. Thanks LeRoy

Reprograming VMS 120 LC Drive Screens

Is there a way to reprogram the VMS 120 drive screen?. There are a number of items displayed that aren't available or useful that I would like to change. I have been through the VMS owners manual and can't find anything on the subject.


I have a motorhome on a01 Ford E450 w/7.3 diesel. Does you equipment work with this configuration? As I'm sure you are aware, this chasis has no diesel monitoring guages.

1999 safari

I need some info on how to opperate our VMSII its in our 1999 safari serengetti we have recently purchsed its a great coach but we are still working out the bugs, hopefull.Darryl

Voltage reading

We have a 1999 Safari Serengeti with a VMS II. When starting the coach the voltage guage goes to 14 and the VMS reads 14.1 volts. When driving the gauge stays at 14 unless we are using lights, the VMS reading on a flat surface is usually around 13.5 to 13.9 volts, but when you start climbing a hill or putting a load on the engine the vms volts start to drop. Pulling up a steep hill the VMS will go down to as low as 12.4 volts even though the rpms are at 2000 and the gauge is still at 14.
Which reading is right?

Mileage doesn't match the dash odometer.

I just received your vms 120 and am curious as to why the mileage on the vms and the coach do not match up.. the coach shows 4500 miles and the vms shows 3700... the day of the week on the calendar will not match with with the screen shows.. when I set the date/ day I say Tuesday but it shows Wenesday. also I am not getting an oil tempurature reading on the vms.. is this normal.. this is in a 06 Knight with a 330cummings thanks Tim
