VMS 320 EL

VMS 320 EL

50cycle and Silverleaf

What do you do when you want to plug your coach into shore power--but, say, you've landed your American-made coach in the UK?

How does this 50cycle and 230VAC pan out on North American-style 220VAC 60cycle?

The coach in question has this symptom: When plugged into shore power, the the transfer switch won't "pull in" (latch) and the error "Bad Frequency" is displayed on the Total Coach panel.

I've emailed this question out specifically to folks who have indicated they're in the UK. Yes--All Six Of Them! ;-)

You folks and anyone else with specific knowledge are welcome to join us to reveal your clever solutions. And, if things were sometimes by trial and, er...retrial--share those too!

cheers

VMS EL320 WONT READ BOOST PRESSURE

I have a vms el320 on a 1999 cummins ISC 8.3 and it wont read boost pressure, but if I hook up a cummins scanner that reads boost pressure and the vms will show the boost pressure. So why does it read with the scanner hooked up? Do I need to send the unit in for a software update? Will that cure the problem? The vms has the original software from what I can tell.

Pressure Pro on VMS is a big improvement

I've used Pressure Pro for about 3 years now and loved it. But I REALLY love it now since I took advantage last June of upgrading my VMS320 (I know I should upgrade it too.....) to have my existing Pressure Pro sensors display on the 320 and took out the PP display and put it in the tow car for use there. I use the display on the 320 MUCH more than I did the PP display because on the initial drive display it cycles through each tire automatically and shows it's pressure without having to press any buttons. I wish the software upgrade and transmitter were available before I bought the PP display... it would have close to a push in cost...
