Going to upgrade to Mac Laptop from PC Laptop. Going to run Windows in Parallels. Trying to decide on 32 or 64 bit windows system. Need to know if VMPC will run on 64 bit Windows. Currently running a 32 bit version. Thanks Ron

Be sure you get the 64 USB driver for VMSpec, and it should work fine. I assume you will be using Parallel's software to run windows. I have successfully ran it that way, but I prefer using VMSpec with my 10" touchscreen netbook.

I am trying to run VMSpc on my Mac under Parallels, but I don't know what Port number to use. Anyone know how to find out what port to enter in the Advanced settings of VMSpc?

The first question is the Mac loading a Device Driver to communicate with your USB to Serial adapter, or is the Windows Client loading a Device Driver to communicate with your USB to Serial adapter?? If you are doing the option, you need to Share the Communication Port with the Windows Client, which will make it appear as a COM Port. If you are doing the Second Option, you need to let that USB Device be seen by the Windows Client, so that it can load the proper Device Driver for the USB to Serial adapter, and will make it appear as a COM Port.
